This section assumes that you have read our Survival Basics section, and have a basic understanding of what you are up against. We've already covered what to do during the initial outbreak, and how to survive the initial 72 hours of hell. Now, you'd better make some plans for a long term hold up or getting to someone who has (unless you only plan on surviving 3 days before joining the legions of the walking dead and we end up putting down your sorry ass once and for all). Heck, we can always use some extra zombie fodder.
Long term survival is not pretty or fun and is exactly what it sounds like; long term. It could be years until the resistance is able to fortify, eradicate, and dispose of all contaminated corpses. Preparing for this might sound like a daunting task, but to give you a chance, we'll provide you with the information you'll need to prepare for at least one year of post apocalyptic survival. In this section, we will cover all the fundamentals including building a shelter, and how to store and gather food and water. We will also cover all the important topics that you will need to know, including anti-zombie combat tactics and different ways to keep yourself alive out in their "lifeless domain".
